Green initiatives at IRT Living
IRT remains committed to reducing our impact on the environment. We have launched many initiatives to do just that. Our most notable is our partnership with One Tree Planted. For every new move-in, one tree is planted across regions of the United States to support reforestation. Over 54,000 trees and counting have been planted!
At each of our communities, we continue implementing changes to reduce our carbon footprint. Many of our communities have implemented water bottle refill stations, energy-saving thermostats, and water-saving measures. At select communities, we offer recycling and doorstep “valet trash” pickup, where we collect and responsibly dispose of electronic waste such as monitors and hard drives in partnership with a third party.
